Kevin Bacon and Fred Ward are so wry in it. It's the type of horror flick for people who are too squeamish for anything gory or intense. <BR/><BR/>It reminds me a lot of <EM>Them!</EM> in some respects, but is so tongue-in-cheek. I love the debate in town over what to name the monsters, something I don't believe was ever satisfied in all the direct to video sequels. <BR/><BR/>Ron Underwood was last seen directing the biggest commercial disaster in the history of film - <EM>Pluto Nash</EM> - but I think this flick sort of balances that out.
